Conditions(s) Removal:
The architect who submitted the application for the applicants in 2018 did not advise them that any conditions needed discharging and therefore the development was undertaken without discharging the conditions U49417 Specific details required and U49418 Sample panels of brickwork. The works were completed in December 2018. However, since that time the flat roof of the single storey rear extension has leaked and there have been huge issues with the lantern rooflights (see attached photographs). The applicants decided in the interests of preserving the listed building to remove the rooflights on 5th February 2024 and finish the flat roof of the rear extension with tiles. The applicants contacted Fiona Jones of Cameron Jones Planning to assist with the new application and on review of the decision it became clear that the conditions from the original permission hadn't been discharged. Further, when the architects commenced the drawings it came to light that the 'existing' plans for the application 18/0568/HOT were not accurate. It is also noted that a wall was constructed in September 2022 between the two properties of 110 and 112 Castelnau to protect privacy.
The extensions have been finished to a very high standard and there is no harm to the integrity of the listed building.
This applications seeks to regularise the development and to remove the conditions.
