To request new parking restrictions within 400 metres of Hammersmith Bridge

Statement

We, the undersigned, urge Richmond Council to address the parking difficulties we are experiencing which is caused by intra-zone commuting within zone B1, as well as commuters from outside zone B1, who are parking in Merthyr Terrace and adjacent roads to walk over Hammersmith Bridge. 

Details

We propose that only residents living in roads within approximately 400 metres of Hammersmith Bridge should be permitted to park in the roads within this same area between the hours of 10am and 6:30pm and that residents within this area should also be allowed to park elsewhere within zone B1.

To clarify; this 400 metre radius includes the following streets: Riverview Gardens, Clavering Avenue, Arundel Terrace, Merthyr Terrace, Trinity Church Road, Castelnau north of Tesco, Glentham Road, Glentham Gardens, St Hilda’s Road and Lillian Road.
