Controlled Parking around Carrington Road and dedicated drop off point for Holy Trinity School

Statement

We, the undersigned, petition the Council to implement a Controlled Parking Zone on Carrington Road to operate during the school term and provide a dedicated drop off point for Holy Trinity Primary School away from Carrington Road.

Details

 

Residents have intolerable difficulty parking near their houses during school term both during the day and in the evening due to parents parking here to drop off and collect their children at nearby schools (Holy Trinity Primary School & Nursery Unit) and due to cars being parked here all day by those taking the train at nearby North Sheen Station.

 

Carrington Road is narrow, with parked cars on both sides of the road. Parents dropping off and collecting their children are required to make a 3-point turn and residents cars parked here are in danger of scratch marks and dents from drivers performing this manoeuvre. There have been several occasions where drivers have backed in to residents’ cars leaving scratches and dents, then driving off without leaving any contact details.
