Lonsdale Road Parking Restrictions

Statement

We, the undersigned, petition the Council to enforce current parking restrictions instead of introducing extra double yellow lines and restricting the already limited parking on Lonsdale Road.

Details

Proposals to extend the Double Yellow lines on Lonsdale Road between Harrodian School and Verdun Road have been put forward. This will increase traffic in the area as motorists will be circling in search of parking. The parking situation is already critical due to residents needs, pupils / parents at Harrodian School, builders and commuters who park and cross the bridge for Hammersmith underground. There are currently enforceable no parking areas, replacing them with Double Yellow lines will make limited difference during the day but will penalise residents at night. Additionally there will be a cost impact in needlessly changing the markings for little to no benefit.
