We, the undersigned, petition the Council to introduce speed restrictions on Hartington road to protect local children, and children who attend Orleans Primary School, from speeding motorists.
Hundreds of children are in the vicinity every single day, and cars continue to speed up and down Hartington Road. This is despite the fact the road is extremely narrow with cars parked on both sides. In the event of a child crossing between parked cars, the speeding drivers will simply have no time to react. We believe this is an accident watching to happen and urge the council to take action to prevent this.
