Controlled Parking Zone for Railway Road (Teddington)

Statement

We, the undersigned, petition the Council to introduce a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) for the periods Monday to Friday 10am to 4.30pm (Bank and Public holidays free).

Details

Railway Road is not the easiest place to park and with the introduction of more Controlled Parking Zones in the area (including Waldegrave Road, Waldegrave Park and Strawberry Hill Road) and the proposed expansion of St Mary's University from 6,000 to 9,000 students by 2025, the parking situation is poised to get worse. We, the undersigned residents, want to avoid Railway Road being used as an overflow car park for the University and those nearby roads that already have CPZ's in operation. Put simply, we want to be able to park on the road on which we live.
