281 bus route

Statement

We, the undersigned, petition the Council to ask RATP to introduce new vehicles for the 281 bus route and to provide a more frequent service.

Details

For a while now the 281 has had loud and old buses. These buses are polluting the areas of Whitton, Twickenham and Teddington which is why the 281 needs new hybrid vehicles. This route also gets very busy at all times but particularly when rugby is being played at Twickenham Stadium. Currently this route has a frequency of a bus every 10 minutes Monday to Saturday and on Sunday this is every 12 minutes. This route needs to have a frequency of a bus every 6 to 8 minutes Monday to Saturday and every 10 minutes on Sundays. Please support this campaign for a healthier environment and a better service for route 281.
