We, the undersigned, petition the Council to provide a safe crossing for our families on Broad Lane on the corner of Nightingale Road and Wensleydale Road. This could be a zebra crossing or pelican crossing (traffic-light).
Due to the bend in the road, it is dangerous to cross from Nightingale Road to Wensleydale Road (and vice-versa) because pedestrians are unable to see oncoming traffic. With many schools in the vicinity it is vital that the council ensures that families can cross the road safely at any time of the day.
