Our nursery has been deeply affected by the recent decision to add yellow lines in front of our premises, essentially erasing available parking and causing unforeseen challenges for our nursery and its patrons. We understand the council's intention may have been to improve traffic flow, but the reality is it has made parking significantly more difficult and has unintentionally jeopardized the safety of our nursery. Parents and guardians who visit our nursery to drop-off and pick-up their children now face the daunting task of finding a safe, legal parking spot amidst a heavily restricted area. This not only hinders access to our nursery but also poses safety risks for families navigating busy streets on foot with young children. The absence of nearby parking has already begun to deter potential customers, impacting our business and community connections. We believe the introduction of short-stay parking bays in front of our nursery could alleviate these issues, accommodating parents who need quick and safe access secure in the knowledge they can access the premises safely without worry. We are so proud of our service and commitment to Early Years In Richmond and we have worked hard over the last 10 years to ensure our family run nursery thrives . We kindly urge the council to reconsider their current parking restrictions and make provisions for short-stay parking bays, demonstrating support for small businesses like ours. Your support is crucial. By signing this petition, you lend your voice to our cause and help us advocate for a practical solution that benefits our whole nursery community; our children, our families and staff, and the sustainability of our service. Please sign and make a difference. Thank you for your support.
