We, the undersigned, petition the Council to implement a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) in Langham Road, Teddington (TW11). Langham Road is now the only road directly adjacent to the entire High Street without a CPZ. This leads to the road being used extensively for parking by non-residents to the point where residents continually struggle to find a space anywhere close to their home.

With the extension of CPZ across Teddington, the pressure on parking in Langham Road has increased considerably. The road is continually used by non-residents who commute from the station, people who go on holiday, by those who work or shop on the High Street, building contractors working in adjoining streets and by businesses parking commercial vehicles for extended periods. Vehicles are often parked across drives, or such that it is difficult to manoeuvre into or out of a space. We now live on one of the busiest residential roads in Teddington due to cars cruising up and down looking for parking. Earlier this year, a petition was successfully lodged with the council for controlled parking in Bolton Gardens for exactly the same reasons outlined above. If this goes ahead as expected, it will create even more traffic in Langham Road. We are therefore seeking a more peaceful and less crowded environment, with sufficient parking space for Langham Road residents.
