Install traffic calming at the Uxbridge Road end of Ormond Drive in Hampton. that make drivers slow down instead of speed up.

Details

There are traffic calming measures at the Uxbridge Road end of the Ormond Drive - a worn-down speed bump and curb extensions with bollards.  However, these traffic calming measures have the opposite effect to what was intended.  Some drivers leave Uxbridge Road - or Cardinal's Walk - and speed up to go over the speed bump and get to the two-lane stretch of the road.  We have had a number of near misses when reversing our car out of our driveway.  Sadly, our cat was run over last summer by a speeding driver and I am worried about this happening again when our kittens are old enough to go outside. It could also be dangerous for children crossing the road.
