Please make all TPOs and other protected designations electronically visible on the council map online, in order to protect them. The information is only electronically available by sharing snapshots or links and is hidden from the front end of the Aurora map.

The council currently has a publicly available physical register on TPOs which can be viewed through appointment at the offices, but does not have an online map available, making it harder to understand how trees both within and outside of conservation areas are being monitored and protected. It may be confusing to constituents why temporary tree protection orders are used within conservation areas, rather than be able to discuss with tree officers or have publicly available information including on how to maintain and look after these wonderful trees. We want to ensure trees can be nominated, protected and maintained through clearer access to information. We are concerned trees with TPOs are being removed without people knowing there are orders in place and even deliberately cut down. We want to ensure information on designated protections and proposals to change the use of land is easily accessible to allow for better public consultation.
