Details
Residents have intolerable difficulty parking near their houses both during the day and particularly in the evening. The parking is exacerbated by the following main issues (in no particular order): a) proximity to East Sheen Primary School meaning parents use the roads for drop offs b) local businesses parking a number of vehicles and storing their stock. ]We would like the Council to create a controlled parking zone (CPZ) on Grosvenor Avenue, Grosvenor Gardens and Sutherland Gardens to help ease this parking situation and allow residents to have priority.

This petition ran from 25/06/2020 to 25/09/2020.
Council response
The Council’s policy to consider requests for CPZs is evidence of support from at least 50% of ‘households’ (i.e. not signatures) in two interconnected roads.
The petition ending on 25/09/20 represented 70 separate households across Grosvenor Avenue, Sutherland Gardens and Grosvenor Gardens and therefore met the Council’s criteria to be considered for a future consultation. Gospatrick House was not included in these calculations because it has its own off-street parking area.
One other petition has already been received from Avenue Gardens which also met the criteria. At this stage, the Council cannot advise as to any timescales on progressing this request as the team is heavily committed on the delivery of approved schemes. This request will be considered when it comes to reviewing the neighbouring zones B2 and ES, which is estimated to be during the year 2021-22.
