We, the undersigned, petition the council to state our opposition to the proposal of: Closing Tangley Hall Intensive Day Care Centre, and merging it with Ham Day Centre. We wish for the residents on the Middlesex side of the river, to continue to have a specialist dementia provision at Tangley Hall, which has been well attended and well thought of for many years. We feel that local services for carers of people with dementia are essential Tangley Hall is easy to get to, accessible for carers, and purpose built. The proposed alternative is not purpose built, not local to our residents and will be inaccessible for our carers.
Details of the proposals can be found here: http://www.richmond.gov.uk/adult_social_care_consultation.htm
