Consider carefully the 4 points raised below about change of use of premises
We object to the planning application which will damage the ability of The Open Book to continue trading. The reasons are 1. This independent bookshop is an integral part of retail trading in Richmond and it's closure would reduce footfall, impacting adversely on other town amenities 2. The proposed changes to this 'Key Shop Frontage' within this Building of Townscape Merit, and within the Richmond Green Conservation Area, is damaging to the heritage of the town centre 3. The Open Book is a cultural talisman in the life of Richmond and it's loss after 30 years trading would be deleterious on a wider front 4. The proposal does not meet the requirement for adequate disabled access
