TW1 A316 St Margarets/Twick - Dangerous shared use pathway on North side of A316

Statement

Change the shared pathway (cycle and pedestrians) alongside the (north side) of the A316 between St Margarets Road and London Road cycle/pedestrian pathway to pedestrian only & create a new separate cycle path on the wide grass verge.

Details

The shared pathway is used by both cyclists and pedestrians. Many school children use the pathway to get to Orleans Park School and St Stephens School, as well as other schools in the area. The bikes come at tremendous speed and come very close to the children, in my families case, my daughter has actually been knocked over by a bike. There is a wide grass verge which could easily accommodate a new separate cycle path which would make for a far safer option for both pedestrians and cyclists. Since Covid there are even more bikes using the pathway and hence it is even more dangerous than ever before.
