Shalstone Road, Kingsway and Rutland Close Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ)

Statement

We, the undersigned, petition the council to introduce a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) in Shalstone Road, Kingsway and Rutland Close

Details

Residents have intolerable difficulty parking near their houses both during the day and particularly in the evening. There are countless examples of residents being stuck for a parking space near their home - to unload either shopping, children, elderly, all of those or themselves. The conditions are also problematic for delivery drivers and workmen who are attending properties in the road for small or large scale projects. The parking is exacerbated by the following main issues (in no particular order): a) proximity to Mortlake station and a convenient location for commuters close to the existing CPZ areas in Mortlake and East Sheen; b) local businesses parking a number of vehicles and storing their stock c) a large loading and unloading bay for businesses at the junction with Clifford Avenue that is rarely used during the day.
