Reduce driving in Richmond Park

Statement

To reduce driving in Richmond Park to only access the car park closest to each gate. This would prevent people from driving round the park and using it as a commuter route

Details

Richmond Park is an incredible natural space that is hugely valued by many thousands of people. The temporary closure of the roads in the park has made it even more special - giving us all a space of incredible peace and calm. As the council considers reopening the park to traffic, I would urge them to consider only allowing cars to drive to the nearest car park for each gate - and preventing cars from driving around the park and using it as a commuter route. Ideally, I would love to see the roads dug up and re-wilded - but I appreciate that logistical realities for the wardens might prevent this Thank you for your consideration
