Our exciting weekly workshops give budding young artists the opportunity to explore a wide range of artistic media with our experienced gallery staff and visiting artists. Art club (10 to 15 years) provide after school art workshops.Every Thursday from 1st May to 17th July(no art club during the half term session- 29th May) THIS FACILITY IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR EXISTING ART CLUB MEMBERS. ALL ART CLUB MEMBERS MUST BE APPROVED BY THE GALLERY ACTIVITIES CO-ORDINATOR.

Larks 2008 ' Little Red Riding Hood' by Krazy Kat Theatre

A hungry wolf, a dizzy granny, dancing butterflies and a woodsman who lives next door. Little Red Riding Hood heads inot the forest for an adventure she will never forget. With silly puppets, madcap dancing and unexpected tranformations, Krazy Kat's fast moving show will thrill young audiences and prove Little Red Riding Hood was a match for the big bad wolf. The show features fully integrated sign language and lots of audience participation. Particularly suited for children aged 3-7 years.

Springing into action, Captain Clueless and his merry band of new detectives leave no tale untold and no trick untried as they set out to ctach the culprit. Meet Alan and his wonderland friends for a nonsense story that makes sense to anyone who loves to have fun. Be warned this interactive one-man show needs lots of audience participation! This mad hatters mix of fantastic fairy tales and colourful characters tells the story of three goats who are invited one day for tea in Wonderland. Booster Cushion Theatre's comical solo show uses mime, voice, audience participation and a 3.5ft concertina book to delight those with a crazy curiosity and an appetite for fun. Lost words. Stolen pictures. This six-foot book needs to find another story. In a dark old library, hundred of books have been forgotten. That is until one day a caretaker arrives and falls into a giant book with colour pages but no words. Watch the adventure unfold as each giant page is turned and a new character brings the story to life! A comical show mime, voice and sign language. Particularly suitable for children aged 5-9 years.

Larks 2008 'Wind in the Willows' by Cats Grin Theatre

Yoo Hoo! It's Toad in his new motor car! Toad always gets what he wants but this time he gets more than he bargains for when the Wild Wood animals plot to take over Toad Hall. Jump aboard for a wild ride with Moley, Rat, Badget and of course Toad in this witty adaptation of the storybook classic now performed in a riverside setting! Three performers bring to life all the characters from the Wild Wood and the River in this action-packed drama. Children can also book a place on the dramam workshop after the show at 3.20pm. Particularly suitable for children aged 4-11 years.
