Adult Life Drawing Classes 2009

Join artist Caroline Jones at Orleans House Gallery on one or several days to develop your creativity and drawing skills through drawing and painting from life. Spend a day looking at different techniques and using a range of materials such as charcoal, graphite pencil and pastel. A varying selection of materials will be available for each day.

Art Club 10-15 Thursday Summer Term 2009

Our exciting weekly workshops give budding young artists the opportunity to explore a wide range of artistic media with our experienced gallery staff and visiting artists. Art club (10 to 15 years) provide after school art workshops.Every Thursday from 15 January to 2nd April (no art club during the half term 19 Feb). This facility is only available for existing Art Club members. All Art Club members must be approved by the Gallery Co-ordinator.

Holiday Art Workshop - Mask-Making Art Workshop

Get creative this summer! Work with a professional artist using a range of exciting and tactile collage and painting materials to create your own fantastic personalised masks to take home. Siblings are welcome to come along too! Suitable for children with disabilities £10.00 per person. Materials included. There will be full support on the day and the gallery will contact participants prior to the workshop to discuss any particular needs or requirements. Devised from a West African folk tale, Crik The Croc is performed with unique puppets and live music. Watch Prince Ivan and his brothers set off in search of the mystery Firebird which has been stealing golden apples from the royal orchard. Ivan's brothers soon fall by the wayside, leaving Prince Ivan to confront Lodgoth, the wicked Tsar of the Frozen Wastes on his own. A magical telling of an action packed Russian adventure performed by two actors who bring life to a host of entertaining characters, transform everyday objects into fabulous creatures and use live music and song to accompany their fantasy quest.
